About

Alayshia R. Pinkney

Alayshia R. Pinkney, MA, LPC, CAADC, CSAC was born and raised in the inner city of Brooklyn, NY, and exposed to the intergenerational effect of trauma, racial injustice, and substance misuse on the individual, the family, and the community. This early exposure greatly influenced her interests as a therapist specializing in mood, trauma, and substance use disorders, and the influence of spiritual growth on the recovery process.

Ms. Pinkney’s experience includes working with children, adults, and adolescents with substance use, behavioral and mental health, and co-occurring disorders. She received a BA in Psychology from SUNY Stonybrook in Stonybrook, NY, in 2003, and an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, in 2014. Ms. Pinkney currently practices in North Chesterfield, VA, and believes that anyone can recover from behavioral, mental health, and substance misuse disorders with the proper supports.
